Unreleased Book!
LADY GAGA AND TERRY RICHARDSON COLLABORATE ON UNPRECEDENTED BOOK OF PHOTOGRAPHS TO BE PUBLISHED BY GRAND CENTRAL PUBLISHING IN TIME FOR 2011 HOLIDAY SEASON
New York, NY — July, 28, 2011 — Grand Central Publishing, an imprint of Hachette Book Group, announced today that it will publish LADY GAGA, a book of never-before-seen photographs of Lady Gaga taken by renowned photographer Terry Richardson. Lady Gaga will write the foreword to the book, which is scheduled to be published on November 22, 2011.
Jamie Raab, Executive Vice President and Publisher of Grand Central Publishing, said, “We are proud to be publishing this remarkable collaboration between Lady Gaga and Terry Richardson and anticipate that it will be one of the most stunning, provocative and coveted books of the 2011 holiday season.” Raab acquired world rights to the book from William Morris Endeavor Entertainment in association with Atom Factory. Taschen Books will publish a very limited edition of the book to be released the following year.
A visual dialogue between Lady Gaga and Terry Richardson, the book will showcase over 350 color and black and white photographs taken during the 10 month period in which Richardson followed Lady Gaga and had complete access to her everyday life, with nothing being off limits. Beginning with Lollapalooza in August 2010 to the February 2011 Grammy Awards which had 26.66 million viewers, (the highest viewership in over a decade) to the final shows of her Monster Ball tour which averaged an attendance of 90,000 people each day, Richardson brilliantly captures the intimate, random, behind-the-scenes moments of Lady Gaga in both her professional and personal life. During the almost year-long global odyssey, Richardson took over 100,000 images and followed the recording process of BORN THIS WAY. The resulting book, featuring some of the most revelatory and exciting of these photographs, captures Lady Gaga as never before seen.
Terry Richardson is one of the most prolific and compelling photographers of his generation. Known for his uncanny ability to cut to the raw essence of whomever appears before his lens, Mr. Richardson’s vision is at once humorous, tragic, often beautiful, and always provocative. Richardson’s editorial work has appeared in magazines such as French Vogue, British Vogue, GQ, and Harper’s Bazaar. Richardson’s work has been the subject of numerous group and one man shows throughout the world.

On Sunday, Lady Gaga will sing in Taichung city, which has officially declared the day “Lady Gaga Day” in honor of her first performance in Taiwan. Later in the day, Gaga is set to appear at an album launch in Taichung ArenaLady Gaga has landed in Taiwan to kick off her very first visit to the island. The singer looked gorgeous wearing a black and blonde wig as she waved and blew kisses to fans and journalists. Several news channels broadcast Gaga’s arrival at the airport live.

However, Gaga has no plans to put out new material anytime soon as she will be busy touring in support of Born This Way. “It’s about singular focus right now,” Gaga’s manager Troy Carter told The Music Network last month. “All the energy over the next couple of years will be put into promoting this album around the world.”
Lady Gaga Arrives in Japan for MTV Awards
Lady Gaga looked stunning as she was spotted arriving at Narita International Airport in Tokyo earlier. The singer stopped to pose for pictures and sign autographs for waiting fans before heading to her hotel.
Gaga is set to perform at this year’s MTV Video Music Aid Japan, which will be held in Chiba on June 25th. At the show, she is up for three awards, including Best Female Video, Best Dance Video and Video of the Year for “Born This Way.”

If you have a bone to pick with regards to the designing of the Hydra Piano, you better fight Lady Gaga then. Apostol Tnokovski was enjoying one of her performances on the telly, when he realized that the old, boxy piano was a misfit on her stage! Aghast, he took to the drawing board and came up with this unique, some-what flowing concept that looks stunning in pure glossy white or black. To make matters complicated, the inspiration also comes from the mythological sea monster “Hydra”.
